Dron Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital celebrated its grand Annual Sports Festival — Spardha 2026 — with overwhelming participation from students, faculty, and staff. The daylong event was held on the college grounds and drew hundreds of attendees from across the campus community.

Events & Highlights
The festival featured a wide range of events including cricket, volleyball, badminton, athletics, tug-of-war, kabaddi, and kho-kho. Indoor events included chess, carrom, and table tennis — ensuring every student found an event suited to their interest.
“Sports are not just games — they are the foundation of a healthy body and a disciplined mind. An Ayurvedic physician must embody both.” — Principal, Dron Ayurvedic Medical College
Why Sports Matter in Ayurvedic Education
Ayurveda places great emphasis on Swasthavritta — the science of maintaining positive health through daily and seasonal routines. Physical exercise (Vyayama) is a cornerstone of this doctrine. At Dron Ayurvedic, we believe that students who understand health must also practise it.
- Regular sports participation improves mental clarity and reduces stress
- Team events build the communication skills essential for clinical practice
- Yoga and meditation sessions were integrated throughout the festival
- Awards were given for sportsmanship, not just victory

Prize Distribution & Chief Guest
The prize distribution ceremony was presided over by the College Management and the Principal. Gold, silver, and bronze medals were awarded across all categories. The overall championship trophy went to the Second-Year BAMS batch after a closely contested final day.
Students, parents, and faculty left with a renewed sense of energy and collegiate pride. Spardha 2026 was not just a sports meet — it was a celebration of the holistic spirit of Dron Ayurvedic.
